Off to Seward

We are leaving Anchorage to go to the Kenai Peninsula. We will travel to three different cities there beginning with Seward today.

We are driving down the same highway that we went on earlier this week when we went to Portage Glacier. This time it is a little less cloudy so I took pictures again. This is another view of Turnagain Arm.

Wayne is still doing the driving even though I have offered to relieve him.

We stopped at beautiful valley where we were greeted with three bagpipers and a cartoon character. As you can tell it is misting.

There was a group doing something with dogs further down in the valley. We couldn't tell exactly what they were doing.

There was fireweed growing up close to the parking lot and you can see the unusual terrain.

Here is Wayne and Chuck with Bear walking from our row of RVs.

Everyone let their dogs out to run. They were good and didn't bother the dogs further down the valley.

As we got further down the road we were able to see this glacier

and more beautiful mountains.

This looks like it may be the Kenai Mountains and part of the Harding Ice Field.

We arrived in Seward early in the afternoon.
