Denali Park

We boarded a tour buss to drive into Denali NP to Toklat. Here is a caribou that we saw along the way.

An interesting rock formation.

They call these rivers braided rivers.

Here is a mountain covered in fireweed.

There are still patches of snow in the crevices.

Here is one of the glaciers.

It was a really beautiful drive. Too bad it was so overcast.

We stopped for a rest stop at an overlook and saw this fox. It came down the trail right by one of our group and then walked up the hill.
It finally walked along the ridge above us. It didn't seem to care if we were there or not.
We did get a peak at Denali, formerly known as Mt. McKinley.

More mountains in Denali NP.

The clouds were almost engulfing the mountains.

Here is another caribou. Most of the animals seem to be somewhere other than where we can see them.

More caribou way across the river.

We got a better look at these caribou.

We did get to see some Dall sheep at one location.

Some more overcast skies over the mountains.
I wish it had been a prettier day and that we had seen more wildlife but someone else has control over those things so we made the best of it.
