Iditarod Museum

We stopped in Wasilla on the way to Anchorage to visit the Iditerod Museum. Their landscaping was wonderful.

This plaque told about the Iditirod Trail Race.

This was a statue of Joe Reddington, Jr. and his lead dog. He was one of the people responsible for getting the race established.

This caribou head was in a replica of one of the places set up as a stop along the race.

They gave dog sled rides here too. Everyone had a blast.

Next stop Golden Nugget Campground in Anchorage.
