Lunch at Sheep Creek Lodge

On our way to Anchorage we stopped at Sheep Creek Lodge. This is a very rustic lodge with interesting things on the wall and rafters--like this mountain lion that looks like it is ready to leap.

There is also a large old dog sled

and this moose head. There were other things that I didn't get pictures of.

Martha, our tailgunner, called Spike up to the front and informed everyone that the previous night had been his birthday. She led us in a rousing chorus of "Happy Birthday."

They had made his birthday card on the computer and it had his picture and age on the front of it.

We also found out that it was Janice and Garlands wedding anniversary so we sang "Happy Anniversary to You" to them. They have been married for a verrry long time. She was only 15 and he was 16 when they married. We should all be as much in love after such a long time as they appear to be.
