Family and History

Sunday morning everyone met over at Wayne's Aunt Clarice's to visit. This is Chip and Babs from Boise, Idaho. We last saw them in 1991 when we did the Oregon Train 150th Anniversary.

This is Raymond and Karen from Puyallup, WA. We hadn't seen them since 1991 either.

This is Wayne's Aunt Clarice.

After visiting for a while we drove up to the Echo Cemetery. All of the flags were flying for Memorial Day Weekend.

We found the Wayne's Grandparents headstone.
We also found his great-grandmothers headstone.

This is Wayne's cousin Patty and her youngest son, Jeremy.

This house is on the street that you have to drive on to get to Clarice's. It belongs to a man that Wayne know as a child. His wife dresses the mannequins.

This is one of the signs showing where the Oregon Trail went.

This is looking towards the museum on main street. The building on the left used to be a meat market and the museum at the end was the bank.

This is the house that Wayne and his family lived in when he was a child.

This is Aunt Clarice's house next door. That's Wayne getting ready to go in.

That afternoon we went over to Clarice's son, Marvin's, house for a barbecue. This is Marvin and his wife Jaimee.

I am going to include the pictures from the barbecue in the next blog. You can check out all of the pictures at: http://picasaweb.google.com/marynelle/SundayFamilyCemeteryOldBuildings?feat=directlink
Till then be safe.
