Drive to Echo, OR and visiting with cousins

The "mackerel" two posts ago was, of course, a halibut and not a mackerel.

The drive to Echo was beautiful. We followed the Columbia River most of the way. As you can see we were just a lane away.

We passed Malmouth Falls on the way but didn't stop.

The rolling hills on the other side of the Columbia were beautiful.

At one of the rest stops a girl was feeding four squirrels.

They were very tame and came right up to her.

We spent Friday visiting with Wayne's Aunt Clarice and Cousin Patty. Here is Wayne with Patty.

On Saturday afternoon Wayne's Cousin Raymond and his wife, Karen came from Puyllup, WA to join us for the weekend.

Later that evening another cousin, Chip, and his wife, Babs, came in and we all drove to Pendleton for supper. This is an old building in Pendleton with curtains painted in the window.

On the way home I got a picture of the beautiful sunset.

Sunday we will have a barbecue at another cousin, Marvin's, and his wife, Jaimee's.
