Las Vegas – The Half Way Point

We arrived on Saturday and checked into the Sam’s Town RV Park.  We were planning on staying at Circus Circus but we had a jack that is acting up and the repair facility was near Sam’s Town.

We arrived in time to see the big moon that was shining just next to the East Side Cannery Casino that is next to Sam’s Town.

 

On Sunday we got the coach washed and waxed and on Monday we found a mobile RV service that came out and took off the jack so that we didn’t have to wait for our Wednesday appointment.

We  stayed close to Sam’s Town the first few days and played Black Jack and ate at their Prime Rib buffet.

Sam’s Town has an atrium with a beautiful waterfall and several animated animals around it.  Here is the cougar,

And two views of the bear.  You can tell that his head has moved.  He also rears up on his hind legs.

There are two mountain goats on the roof of the bar.

 

This is the waterfall.  At night they do laser light shows here.

 

 

Tuesday night we took the Sam’s Town shuttle to Fairmont Street.  We had a lousy buffet at the Golden Nugget.    Then we played a little Black Jack.

They have added a new attraction—a zip line from about the middle of the street to one end.  Here is the platform in the middle of the street.

I know two girls who would have probably done this last January if it had been here.

They laser show we saw was based on “American Pie” and was spectacular.

 

We took the shuttle back to Sam’s Town and hit the sack early.
