Venice – May 28-29

After breakfast we crossed the canal and found a pharmacy that had the medication that I needed for my bile salt problem.  Thank goodness it didn’t require a prescription in Italy.  This picture was taken from on top of the bridge.

We walked around on that side of the canal for a while.  There were market places in several of the big squares.   I think these are artichokes but I’m not sure.

Then we got back on a water bus and just rode.  We got off again at St. Mark’s Square and took more pictures there from different angles.

Then we just rode some more and took more pictures.  This is the CHURCH OF MADONNA DELLA SALUTE.

These buildings were covered with frescos or mosaics.  I couldn’t really tell from the distance.

After dinner we sat out in front of the hotel until the lights came on.  This is truly a magical place.

Our last day in Venice didn’t start out too good for me so I sent Wayne out on his own.  When he returned at dinner time he said he thought he had walked on every street in Venice and gotten lost three times.  He also got some more pictures.  Here is one of the water buses.

We think this was either a foreign ministry or some official government building with it’s private boats.

Don’t know what this impressive building is.
