On the Road Again

We left our winter location in Aransas Pass on June 5th and headed to the Houston area.  We put our suitcases in storage, picked up the mail from our daughter, Nola,  and saw our grandson, Matt Sunday morning.  That evening we had dinner at Ryan’s with two of Wayne’s brothers and their wives and one niece and her friend, Robert, who was kind enough to take a picture.

Monday we drove to Hammond, LA where Wayne had made an appointment to get our step cover repaired.  It went out but didn’t want to retract.  We stayed at the closest RV park that turned out to be a dump on the highway.  The next morning we took the coach in.  When the part that had been overnighted from Tiffin came in it was the wrong part.  Don’t know whose fault that was.  The people at the dealership gave us the name of another RV park about 12 miles away that was wonderful.  If you are ever in the area of Livingston, LA and need an RV park, Livingston Lakes RV park is very nice.

There are even two resident swans there.

Wednesday the right part came in and we got on the road again.  We only drove as far as Nanabe Creek Campground in Meridian, Mississippi.  It was a nice, wooded, park with long pull through spaces.

Thursday night we spent the night at the Chattanooga North KOA and then got on the road early.

Friday night we stayed at the Fort Chiswell RV Campground in Max Meadow, VA.  Another nice campground with long pull through spaces.

Here it is Saturday and we are in Petersburg, VA for two nights.  Wayne’s Aunt Hedi and her two daughters live here with their families so we will get to visit with them.  Pictures to follow.
