Farmer’s Market and Dinner Theater

We drove down to the area of Keith’s Nova Scotia Brewery this morning.  We parked in a lot across the street that had this interesting masthead.  We later saw some more by the cruise ship dock so I think they are like the painted dolphins.  The parking was $3/hour even on Saturday.

The courtyard of the brewery looks quite different today with stalls everywhere.  That’s Rich in the blue in the foreground.

They had opened up lots of areas that weren’t open the other day.  This market went on forever with produce, meat and seafood, baked goods, crafts of all kinds, and fast food restaurants.  As we were leaving, I took this picture of the whole complex.

The road home takes us along a wide street with a wide esplanade and this type of older homes.  It is very pretty and reminds me of when I lived on Sunset Blvd. in Houston when I was in high school.

All of the control boxes for the street lights are painted in Halifax and the surrounding communities.  We were stopped at a red light so I was able to get a picture of these.

That evening we decided to go to Petrie’s Halifax Feast Dinner Theatre with Mike and Patti.  Here we are waiting for dinner.

And here are Mike and Patty.

They were doing a parody on the 1960’s called “Beach Blanket Bingo.”  Here is the stage.

The actor’s and actresses were also the wait people.  this is the Professor who waited on us.  He was studying the sexual habits of teenagers.

Here are some of the actor's and actresses who all sang and danced very well.

After this act, dinner was served and the cast returned dressed for the prom.  They moved around too quickly to get any good pictures.

All in all, the musical was cute and we all knew all the songs and the food was good as well.  Mike had parked a short distance away across from this nice old home.

We were home by 10:00 pm so we didn’t stay up too late.
