Beaches from Newport to Waldport

We finally got a beautiful day on Wednesday.  Wayne needed to go to Tradewinds Charters to check to see if they would clean any crab that they catch on their fishing trip scheduled for Thursday.  While we were down on the Bay Front we ate lunch next door at Mo’s Annex.  It was very good and we could watch for the  boats to come in to see what they had caught.

Then we headed south on Hwy 101.  I made Wayne stop at every State Park along the way to see if their beach access was easier than we have found so far.

At South Beach State Park you have to go over the dunes in soft sand so that one is not easy.

At Seal Rock, we climbed up to the look out and took pictures.  As you can see this is not an easy place to access the beach either.

There were some birds swimming around in the water.

These are pictures of Seal Rock State Park.    There is a steep trail down to the beach.

There was a kid on the beach trying to move this piece of driftwood.

We walked along the paths but we didn’t see any seals.

We stopped in Waldport at their Farmer’s Market and Wayne found some strawberries.  We were planning on going further but decided to stop for the day and go back to the coach.
