July 6 to July 19, 2012

We took Aimee to the airport on July 5th and have been recovering since.

Before Greg and Chris were to leave, the six of us went out to lunch at the Fishtails Cafe in Aquarium Village.  It was as unique on the inside as it was on the outside.

On the 11th we had to move from the site were had be in to a new site.  It is further away from Bob and Sandy and Greg and Chris. 

On the 12th I had to go to Corvallis to see the doctor again.  I got an “all clear” report which was nice.  I went by myself since Wayne had pulled a muscle.  On the way up I took a picture of the covered bridge at Chitwood.

On the 12th I got my hair and nails done and then came home to do some jewelry.  In the process I managed to pull a muscle in my back.  We are really a pair.

Finally on Wednesday the 18th we both felt good enough to get out.  We drove up to Lincoln City and made reservations at the Logan Road RV Park next to the Chinook Winds casino.  We will move there on August 1st and stay for two weeks before heading back toward Texas.

On the drive back we took the Otter Crest Road and stopped and took these pictures at Cape Foulweather.

This is the view looking towards the Yaquina Head Lighthouse that is on the point at the top of the picture.  There are often seals and otters on the beach to the bottom of the picture but it was high tide and we didn’t see any.

This is Gull Rock out in the ocean.  Didn’t see any gulls either.

Tonight Wayne is fixing crab cakes and Bob and Sandy are coming over for dinner.  It is the only way we know to return the favor for Bob picking up the check when we have eaten out.
