Family Reunion – Last days and Time with Aimee

Monday was another late start for me.  Wayne went over to the house earlier and I stayed home.   Nola came over later and picked me up and brought me back to the house.  Then Lois and I went out for soup and pie and a nice visit.  We hung out around the house and visited most of the afternoon.

For dinner Wayne baked 12 filets of the fish that we caught on Sunday and it was delicious.  We visited some more after dinner then called it a day.

Tuesday morning we went over to the house early to say goodbye to everyone.  Mike and Michelle picked up the fish that had been flash frozen to take home with them.  Nola, Matt, Mike, Michelle, and Aaron left around 9:00 to head to Portland and the airport.

Lois, Jody, Joel and Nathan didn’t need to leave until a little later.

Aimee stayed with us.  That afternoon we went over to Aquarium Village and walked around.  We saw this neat sculpture of horses at the Pirate’s Plunder.

We spent a couple of hours at the glass blowers watching the master blow an octopus.

This was really interesting.  Aimee bought an encased jellyfish drop and I bought some broken glass that had been tumbled to make jewelry out of.

Wednesday Aimee and I made more jewelry and visited.  She is an amazing young woman.  That night we all sat around the fire with Bob, Sandy, Greg and Chris until time for the fireworks.  It was cold so we sat in the coach and had a ringside seat of the fireworks going off in the bay.

Thursday we went to breakfast at the Chalet and then drove Aimee to Portland to catch her plane to Calgary.

We have had a wonderful week and a half  but we are exhausted.  It may take us a week or more to catch up.
