Happy Hour Out

This is the first activity that we have been to this month where we could take pictures.  The first week of October we went to the Bass Concert Hall to see The Book of Mormon and of course no pictures are allowed there.  Monday Wayne took me to the doctor and then we took him to the emergency room.  He was having trouble breathing and just felt yucky.  He said he wasn’t leaving the hospital until he felt better.

Tuesday he was still in the hospital but I came home in time to go out to happy hour with the group.  (He really prefers that no one stay with him in the hospital.)  We went to Jasper‘s in the Domain.  It was a nice afternoon so we sat out on the patio.  From L to R are Bill,Kay, Lyn, Peggy, Lindel, Carrie, Erin, and Phyllis.

The drinks, appetizers, and company were wonderful.  Sorry Wayne had to miss it.

Wayne got out of the hospital on Thursday afternoon just in time to come home and go to Oktoberfest.  The brats and beer were good but we didn’t have a camera with us.  Saturday the University of Texas at Austin beat OU in the Red River Rivalry.  Celebrations abound.

Sunday we went to a matinee at The Palace Theater in Georgetown to see The Music Man.  Again no cameras allowed. Tuesday one of the couples that we play Mexican Train with,  George and Evelyn, celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary with a slide show in theater and a reception in the Multi Purpose Room.  Didn’t think to take a camera.  Thursday was another Happy Hour Out.  This time we went to the Deckhand Oyster Bar and had a fun time.  Friday was the Red Hat luncheon at Manuel’s Mexican Restaurant.  Wonderful food.  Saturday we went to the Celebration of Life for one of our former residents, Lee. It was beautiful.

That just about brings me up to dated except to tell you that Wayne is doing better.  He sees his cardiologist next week and the pulmonologist the following week.  I should get this boot off my foot in early November and it won’t be soon enough.
