On the way to Yarmouth on Thursday we took a rest stop at Jordan Falls. I didn’t find any falls—just rapids.
After we got set up we drove into Yarmouth. Saw this church on the way.
We went down on the waterfront where we saw this trolley converted into a lobster stand.
You could see that the tide was still out by the watermark on the pier and the rocks.
Here is Wayne with the gazebo in the background.
These pretty flowers were growing all along the waterfront.
After enjoying a beer at the brewery with Rich and Karla and Mike and Patty, we drove around town looking at the historical buildings and houses. This is the corner of the Yarmouth Block that was constructed in 1892.
This cupalo clock was setting near the wharf area.
I really liked the color scheme on this house.
The houses look small from the front but they are very long.
Note the scalloped shingles on this old house.
This is one of the Yarmouth sea captain’ homes.
This is a huge church. Don’t know what denomination or how long it has been here.
This house was just large all the way around.
This is the Pelton-Fuller house where the Yarmouth Museum is.
This is the old court house.
My children called my mother Nana.
Heading back to the campground we saw this nice old home with lots of varying roof levels.
This old farm with outbuildings looks as if it has been here forever.
Another nice house with dormer windows.
We saw this sign welcoming us to Arcadia.
This is the sign to the campground that is about 7 miles from town.
The campground has VERY LOW electricity and no one is happy about it.
There are lots more pictures of old homes and churches on my Picasa Web Album.
