Friday morning we drove through town to the turn for the lighthouse and found this brass statue of a horse just sitting there.
We went past this lovely old home with an iron fence around it.
These two large boats were sitting on the side of the road just out of the water. We stopped at a lobster pound where we were told that we could get a tour. The man at the desk was not so inclined to take us so we didn’t get to see the lobsters.
This is the lighthouse. They were doing construction on the road and we thought it was closed off so we didn’t try to go up. We later found out that it was open.
There was access to the beach on both sides of the road. The tide was out but as you can see by the waves it was coming back in.
There were some nice views of the water from the road.
This appeared to be a floating lighthouse and I’m sure it appears even more so when the water is back in.
This is a view looking back at Yarmouth from the Cape Forchu road.
We went back to the coach for lunch before heading to Pubnico.
