Today is Canada Day in Canada. They celebrate it much like we do the 4th of July. Emile, Barb, Karla, me, and Wayne drove down to King’s Square to take in some of the festivities.
Here is Emelie waving and Barb walking away near the pavilion in King’s Square.
There were venders set up all along the street around the City Market as well as in King’s Square.
In addition to the arts and crafts that were advertized there were many tables set up with garage sale items.
At 11:15 there was a “People’s Parade” lead by a bagpiper.
He was followed by the color guard.
Then came a horse drawn trolley.
There was a representation from the Chinese community
Complete with paper dragons.
There were belly dancers but I’m not sure who they represented.
The last group of the parade was the greyhound rescue association with a slew of greyhounds.
The parade was over very quickly and we met and Wayne brought us back to the RV park.
