Wayne and I drove back to Baddeck this morning looking for a store that we were in in 1997. I got some pictures that were from a different angle than those going up.
This time we were able to take the ferry across to Englishtown. The ferry setup was not good for RVs. We saw them turn a fifth wheel while we waited.
These were some boats tied up at Englishtown.
There is a pretty view of St. Ann’s Harbour from Englishtown.
We drove up to St. Ann’s on the Cabot Trail. We visited the Gaelic College of Celtic Arts and Crafts and decided that this was the same place we had visited before. I bought a book on Clan names and a book on the Murray and Davidson clans. There was a bagpiper cleaning his mouthpiece and getting ready to play as we came in.
This is the view of St. Ann’s Harbour going back to the ferry.
This cannon was aimed at the opening to the harbour.
The ferry is very expensive for the trip that it takes. It is about the same distance as the Port Aransas/Aransas Pass ferry which if free. Maybe Texas needs to charge for it’s ferry rides.
This is the lighthouse looking out towards the Atlantic Ocean.
After we got back I took Trouble and went down to the beach in our campground. The water was beautiful
There is even a little lake where there were people fishing that was on the other side of a sand bar.
The sand on the beach is very red and there are lots of rocks as well.
The waves were coming in pretty good where it was mostly rocks and were bringing in sea weed with them.
Every time a wave came in Trouble would jump.
Here is a picture of our coach at the Broad Cove Provincial Campground.
Wayne and the boys are going to Louisburg tomorrow and the girls will play.
