Wayne and two other friends from the RV park, Bob and Greg, booked a bottom fishing trip for Thursday.
Wayne took my camera and Greg took his so the pictures are from both cameras.
Before they got out past the jetties someone spotted something.
Could it be a spout from a whale?
That is exactly what it was so they had an exciting start to the trip.
Here is a picture of Wayne, Bob, the deckhand, and Greg. What a happy group.
Here is the deckhand throwing over one of the crab pots on the way out.
Here are Wayne and Bob fishing.
And here is Greg fishing.
Here is the deckhand feeding the sea gulls so that one of the girls on board could get a picture.
Bob helped the deckhand pull in the crab pots on the way back in.
Here is the take from one of the four pots that they put out.
Here is Bob with one of the larger crabs.
They have to be measured with this gauge to be sure they are large enough and you can only keep the males.
Here is a picture of Wayne on the way back in.
Here is a view of the bridge from out in the channel.
The building with the windows is Mo’s where we had lunch yesterday. This is where the boat docks.
This is the boat’s captain.
People are lining the area above the dock watching the boats come in and seeing what they caught.
You can pay this lady a dollar a fish to fillet them. Sure is easier than doing them yourself.
Greg and Bob are showing off some of the fish they caught. They got rock fish and ling cod.
Here are Bob and Wayne picking up the crabs that the man cooked for them. They each got a dozen crabs each.
That’s a load of crabs.
While the men were out fishing the girls went window shopping and out to lunch. Then we joined them on the dock to see what they had caught. Here are Sandy and Bob, Me and Wayne, and Chris and Greg.
Shortly after the boat was unloaded they headed out again on a crabbing trip.
We all had a fun day.
