Friday, June 1, we arrived at the Newport Marina RV Park We have a nice view of the Yaquina River Bridge.
Right now there are only two coaches on our row.
On Saturday we went down to the Historic Bay Front area. Mo’s is a landmark in this area. They have restaurants across from each other. One is also a fish market.
A lot of the buildings have beautiful murals painted on them.
Most of the buildings are very old and have been converted into cute little shops.
There is even a Ripley’s Believe it or Not and a Wax Museum in this building.
This is about the size of the boat that we have chartered for a fishing trip while Marynelle’s children are here.
On one of the piers you can see the seals/sea lions.
After the bayfront we drove up to Yaquina Bay Lighthouse. Here is a little history of the bay.
Here is the lighthouse from the parking lot below.
This is a view of the jetties where they meet the Pacific Ocean.

You can see the RVs parked here.
On Sunday, I got an email from Grace and Jim that they were planning on coming to Newport today and wanted to know if we were free for lunch. We met them on our trip to Alaska and they also have a Tiffen motorcoach. We went to see them when we were in Toronto two years ago. We went to Georgie’s for lunch. Good food and good company.
Monday we drove over to Eugene, Oregon to see Wayne’s cousin, Nanette. We went out to lunch at Marie Callendar’s. More good food and good company.
