We arrived at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino in time to have dinner at their buffet. It was good but not as good as the Mirage’s.
Their desserts were fancier. There is some chocolate thing, some tiramisu, and cheesecake. Unfortunately they didn’t have much taste but they were pretty.
We both enjoyed the crab legs. Here is Wayne’s third and last plate full.
We arrived at the House of Blues earlier than we needed to and had to endure loud piped in music for an hour. This was the stage set up.
There was a beautiful chandelier above the stage. It looked a little out of place in the House of Blues.
Finally, Santana and his band took the stage. Santana was wonderful but the volume was way too loud and with three different drummers it was hard for us to enjoy the music. The younger crowd, our children’s age, however were really getting in to it.
This old man can still get down.
The man on the bass guitar was very talented as well.
From our vantage point we rarely saw his face so it was good that they had some video screens placed around the theatre.
He did play some of my favorites without all the accompanying music so parts of it were enjoyable for me. Wayne came away with his ears ringing from tinnitus.
This morning is laundry day. This afternoon we will go over to Sam’s Town for our last day of black jack and their prime rib buffet. Tomorrow it is off to California.
