In Seward we were camped at the City's
Resurrection Park right on
Resurrection Bay. The view was spectacular.
We went into town about 10:30 to look around and wait to get on a boat for a tour of the
Kenai Fjords. This is the middle of the the town shopping area.
This was a cute wooden seal sculpture.
There was also a cute wooden bear sculpture
and a whale sculpture placed around the area.
We finally boarded the boat and set out in
Resurrection Bay. We saw this cute Sea Otter playing around. It was an overcast day so we didn't get very good pictures.
He was
eating something.
These are some crazy
kayaks. I say crazy mainly because it was not a very nice day.
If you look closely you can make out a Lion's Main Jelly Fish in the water.
We saw this beautiful waterfall on the way.
This rock was covered in sea gulls.
And this rock was covered in sea lions.
If you look really carefully you can see three puffins in the lower part of the pictures.
Here is a view of our
coaches at
Resurrection Park from the boat,
Coming back in to dock we saw this eagle sitting on top of one of the sailboat masts.
It was a
disappointing day as we were unable to see what we saw more clearly and because we were unable to see Bear Glacier when we got in front of it. But, again, we can't control the weather.
