Delta Gamma Kentucky Derby Party.

The Kentucky Derby Party is an annual fundraiser for the Austin Delta Gamma Alumni chapter.  This year’s party was held at the lovely house of Barbara  and her husband.  Everyone brought food and a donation for the fundraiser.  We of course were early so Wayne got a few pictures before it got crowded.

We also had a chance to vote on which horses we thought would win.  One of my horses showed so I won a few dollars.  None of Wayne’s came in where he thought they would so all in all we lost a few dollars.  That’s Barbara’s husband, Rick, in the pink shirt.  He made wonderful Mint Juleps for us to imbibe on.  Someone also bought a bottle of champagne to celebrate with after the race.

The food and company were lots of fun.

Here are the women of DG who attended the party.  This chapter is very lucky to have lots of younger women in it.  Left to right they are Nikki, me, Sara, Leah, Alexandra, (I can’t remember her name), Kelsey, and Barbara.  Nikki and her hat actually attended the Kentucky Derby one year.  They attended a variety of colleges and are from all over the USA.

It’s wonderful to have sisters anywhere you go.
