Since there are other plans for next Tuesday, we celebrated Mardi Gras early here at the Conservator. We have to walk through the dining room to get from our building to the main building where Happy Hour is held. Thew were setting up for supper.
The tables were decorated.
Even the waiters were getting into the mood.
Upstairs the Bistro was decorated a lot more.
Here I am getting my wine (and a taste of JP’s hurricanes) at the bar. That’s Kelly, JP our executive chef, and Crystal behind the bar.
The appetizers that night were fried alligator on a stick and fried crawfish with a tomatillo sauce. Yum.
There was quite a line for the food. Even Cindy from marketing came up for the celebration.
Kay had on a beautiful mask.
Erin our new social director (in the white sweater) also joined us.
S0 did Brad our director.
Here is Wayne enjoying the food.
Erin is talking to Joyce by the table that I typically sit with. That’s the back of my head.
Here are Maggie, Joyce, Mattie Bell and Gert.
The party spilled out into the Hall with Ed, et al.
We even have a group that parties in the Library. Joan and Al wore their beads. Charlie is talking to Bill and I can’t remember the other’s names.
A good time was had by all. Later that evening a group of us took our bus and went down to First Baptist Church to see the Trinity Players perform in Almost Main. A really enjoyable day.
