Wayne’s Tuna Trip
Here is Wayne with one of his tuna.
When all was said and done Wayne froze lots of tuna fillets.
Whale Watching Trip
On Monday we scheduled a trip out of Depoe Bay to go whale watching. Wayne has been wanting to eat at the Sea Hag but this picture is a close as we have gotten.
We booked a one and a half hour Zodiac trip. I’m already seated on the boat and the captain is helping April get on.
We only went out about five minutes before we spotted out first spout. Unfortunately we didn’t get a picture of that whale as it was too close to the boat and popped up before we could get out camera’s ready.
This whale popped up right in front of another whale watching boat.
It is the dark spot in front of the boat. You can see how close they were to the shore.
Here is a whale with the residual spray from the spout behind him.
He stayed up for a while.
Here is another good spray.
And another
And another. To see more pictures go to https://picasaweb.google.com/112250813600689359008/WhaleWatchingAugust2012?authuser=0&feat=directlink
We had a really fun trip.

Mike and Wayne at Air Museum
On July 25th Wayne and Mike went to the Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum. This is a picture of the entrance.
This is a little shuttle that they use to run around the park. Wayne and Mike didn’t get to ride in it.
Here is Mike in front of one of the planes.
This is an old Ford delivery van.
This is an old passenger plane.
This is the front glass doors that open when needed.
This is a little kit plane under the wing of the spruce goose.
Here is a Russian MIG
This is the B-17 Flying Fortress used in WW II
Some of the planes outside.
A rocket that is used today.
A Russian space capsule.
Part of the Berlin Wall.
Here is an American Space Capsule.
This is a Cobra gunship chopper
This Huey is like the ones that Wayne made a lot of jumps into the jungle from.
Finally the Spruce Goose. It was built entirely of wood by Howard Hughes and only made one flight. It was designed to land on water.
It was hard to get a picture of the whole plane at once. This is the tail section of Spruce Goose.
Here is a picture of Wayne and the Spruce Goose
A better shot of Wayne
Here is an old Ford with a rumble seat like Marynelle’s grandfather used to have.
This is either a B 24 or 25 bomber.
This is also either a B-24 or 25 bomber
This is the water park next to the museum and there are slides coming down from the 747 plane on top.
Outside they had another Russian MIG,
and an American F-16 along with other planes.
Here is a close up of the 747 on the roof of the water park.
They appear to have had a good day.
